Today’s Positive Stories

In December 2024, a heartwarming story emerged from Houston, Texas,

exemplifying the profound impact of simple acts of kindness. A terminally ill woman, whose lifelong dream was to visit Alaska, found her wish fulfilled in an unexpected way. Employees at a local Chick-fil-A, upon learning of her dream, transformed their restaurant into an Alaskan-themed haven. They decorated the space with Alaskan landscapes, played nature sounds, and even simulated the Northern Lights, providing her with a memorable experience that brought Alaska to her. This act of compassion not only fulfilled the woman's dream but also highlighted the power of community and empathy. Such stories serve as a reminder that kindness can create profound and lasting impacts, bringing joy and comfort to those in need.

In November 2023,

Josh and Carly Berg faced an unimaginable tragedy when their six-year-old daughter, Ellie, passed away after a tree collapsed in their backyard. Ellie was known for her kindness, consistently performing acts to make others feel special. To honor her memory and continue her legacy, the Bergs established the Be Like Ellie Foundation, aiming to encourage and spread kindness throughout their community and beyond. PEOPLE

The foundation provides "kindness grants" to support various causes, including paying medical bills and replacing stolen musical equipment. They have also hosted a fundraising concert, raising $30,000, and initiated a 30-day kindness challenge on Instagram. Through these efforts, the Bergs hope to ensure that Ellie's impact lives on, inspiring others to perform acts of kindness in their daily lives. Source: PEOPLE
